Rex finds himself in an open green field, with the girl from the ship standing under a tree atop a hill ahead. Rex approaches and accidentally touches the Core Crystal on the sword's hilt, and Jin stabs Rex through the heart, killing him. Past the doors, Rex is the first to enter a room containing a sword and a chamber containing a young woman held in suspended animation. Once there, Rex is ordered by Jin, Torna's leader, to accompany them to the interior of the ship to open sealed doors only accessible by Leftherians. Maelstrom on the way to the Ancient Ship. He accepts, joining the crew aboard the C.S.E.V. While visiting the Argentum Trade Guild Rex is offered a high-paid salvaging job, requested by an organisation called Torna through the Chairman of Argentum. By the age of 15, Rex is living full-time on the back of Azurda in the Cloud Sea, where he earns a living as a Salvager. Rex grew up in Fonsett under care of Corinne, raised by the townsfolk and the Titan Azurda, known to Rex as "Gramps". His mother died upon arrival and his father's body was found elsewhere in the Leftherian Archipelago nearby they were both buried in Oratory Knoll Cemetery. He was around two years old when he and his mother washed up on the shores of Fonsett Village. The circumstances of Rex's birth and early years are unknown. He lost his left eye during the fight with Alpha. He can combine the two swords into a single blade, similar to Pneuma's sword. During combat, he wields the Firelight Swords, blades similar but visually distinct from Pyra and Mythra's Aegis Swords. He still wears his salvaging anchor on his left arm. In Future Redeemed, and as a Hero in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Rex has a thin beard and wears a black coat with blue patterning over a gray compression shirt and wears black pants and a belt. In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed He also grows taller and develops a facial structure similar to Addam's. Rex wears bluish village clothing as an adult. Due to having no real family to speak of besides Azurda, he initially finds it difficult to get along with his daughter Glimmer. He fears causing suffering to others with his actions, usually blaming himself whenever someone is hurt or killed.Īs an adult, Rex is still free-spirited and optimistic, but he has shed his old naivety as a result of his many adventures and the later war with Moebius and can be far more blunt than he used to be when he is upset. Since being a kid, Rex had a strong sense of justice and was against conflict and war due to this, he wants to reach Elysium, as he believes that, by doing so, he can save humanity from its dying world. However, Rex tends to be careless and overconfident, which puts him and his companions in trouble from time to time. He wishes to protect and support those close to him, to the point that he sends most of the money he obtains from salvaging to his home village. Rex is an optimistic and easy-going, yet naive, young boy. 11.2 Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.9.3 Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Post-Battle Dialogue.9.2 Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.5 In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.3.4.1 Legacy as the Mentor of the City's Liberatrix.3.1.5 Joining Forces with Mor Ardain and Tantal.2.3 In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.
